ABSTRACT
7Reliability requires the understanding of certain concepts and how to apply them. In this chapter the reader will explore some of the most important and useful ones. This chapter is not intended to be an exhaustive glossary of reliability terms, but rather an introduction to the most common concepts as applied to reliability. Further discussion of some of these topics will be presented in more detail in the chapters ahead.
