ABSTRACT
I NTRODUCTION How employees view their leader affects their attitude toward their work. Every decision, policy, and change that the leader makes teaches the entire work group what the leader believes. Employees closely observe the leader's behavior and learn to trust it more than his or her words. A leader's behavior either encourages or discourages employees. The impact is contagious; it affects each worker's attitude and performance.
