Why should anyone question or even care about the ethics of celebrity watching? According to both Hebrew and Christian scriptures, this is risky behavior. Yes, celebrity watching approximates idol worship. Less obviously, celebrity watching kicks off a potentially dangerous slide into coveting, a major sin.
