ABSTRACT
This chapter defines and illustrates various important tropes and figures of speech used in persuasive oratory. These figures of speech make oratory subtle and effective. A thorough understanding of these figures of speech will help trainee orators practise the valuable art of persuasive oratory in an effective way.
