ABSTRACT

Despite being a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) for RE, I do not have specialist qualifications in the subject or any of its related disciplines. In this respect, I am in the same position as the majority of primary school teachers. I have developed experience and associated expertise in the delivery of RE in the primary setting from teaching it across at first Key Stage 2 (7–11-year-olds) and now Key Stage 1 (5–7-year-olds).
