ABSTRACT

Good sex requires a healthy body, and not just for hanging upside-down from the trapeze. For our naughty bits to perform at their best, we need a strong cardiovascular system, balanced hormone levels, responsive neurology, and all the rest. Most problems with sexual desire and performance can be potentially impacted by physical conditions and the state of our health. Therefore, we can improve our sex life at our doctor’s office, at the gym, and in the grocery store. Bodies come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Fortunately, so do desires. Most people tend to prefer some body types over others. Most people think about sexual desire as unidimensional, that we go from uninterested to fired up by essentially adding more desire, kind of like turning up the heat in house. Sexual exciters are the gas pedal, the stuff that increases sexual desire. Sexual suppressors are the brake, the stuff that reduces sexual desire.
