ABSTRACT

Early in most relationships, everyone is polite, interested, and focused on what they like about each other, so there are few fights. Nobody is making excessive demands and both partners try to be considerate of each other. In the survey, the vast majority of respondents were quite happy with their relationship and sex life in the first year. These are fun and usually easy times. The non-ADHD person really needs to move beyond taking anything personally and really just go with the flow. Disagreements are inevitable in relationships, whether romantic, friends, coworkers, roommates. Couples who are able to handle anger well are then better able to share passion. Wanting drives us to pursue what we desire. ADHD may be a neurological condition, but it drives a lot of psychology, including in the romantic partner. Creating and then maintaining a great sex life is no easy task. Same goes for relationships overall.
