ABSTRACT
Great technical skills do not automatically translate into great sex if they are not applied at the right times to the right places in the right ways. This is where good communication factors in. While there is plenty of nonverbal communication going on in sex, there is a lot to be said for talking directly about what each want, both before anything happens as well as in the midst of the action. Sex is one of those topics that people can have very strong opinions about, yet there are few right or wrong answers, so it comes down to finding a way to accept our own and our partner’s turn-ons. There is a bit of a contradiction when it comes to sexual excitement. It is not uncommon for the two members of a couple to have at least somewhat different desires for the frequency of sex, about a third of the time it’s the woman with the higher drive.
