ABSTRACT

This chapter demonstrates how the Taxonomy of Collaboration looks in action as a way to analyse the collaborative process. Conversation and deep listening are key as progressing with the collaboration for both outcomes and the experience is crucial for satisfaction for Elizabeth, and ideally the collaborator(s). Collaborative partners have worked together, or have already established trust and respect. They operate in a field where there are widely accepted practices which would be known to all partners. Janet Salmons sees that a conflict between two partners spills over to influence the project as a whole. She suggests that Jesse try to find out the back story on this project group, starting with how it was formed. Using the Taxonomy as a guide, it is possible that working in parallel would allow partners to complete parts of the project more independently.
