ABSTRACT

This introduction outlines the foundation of the book: why mindfulness, embodiment, and feminism are mutually enriching processes that enable us to truly embody our feminism. Drawing on somatics and mindfulness, the chapter explains why embodiment is so critical to intersectional feminism and social justice. “Creating a More Just World” invites readers to reflect on their definition of feminism and to imagine what a truly just and liberated world would look like. It offers grounding mindfulness practices and helps readers begin to self-reflect on their visions of a more just world.
