ABSTRACT
The portability of modern equipment and its ability to shoot by available light means documentaries are often shot by one or two people only. This keeps costs down—crucial when filming involves travel—and makes filming less obtrusive and more intimate. It does mean that whoever you choose as a partner is crucial to the way you work.
