ABSTRACT
This chapter is a comprehensive resource guide of trauma-sensitive tiered interventions for use by school counselors. These resources were chosen because they align with a trauma-sensitive philosophy and their use is supported by research, best practices, and/or ASCA standards. Interventions included in this resource guide chapter are Administrator-Counselor Collaboration; Community Education; Equity and Access to Courses and Services; School-wide Awareness Initiatives; Trauma Training; Behavior Contracts; Check-in/Check-out; Small Group School Counseling; Student Study Team Meetings; Teacher Workshops – opt in; Crisis Interventions; Referral to SPED; Referral for Community Resources; and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
