ABSTRACT
To create a safe and effective learning environment for all students, school counselors must work collaboratively to build positive school climate. “Positive school climate” refers to a caring and supportive school environment where learning can flourish. Trauma-sensitivity is a specific type of positive school climate with six unique characteristics as outlined in the report How Traumatized Children Learn:

Shared Responsibility
