ABSTRACT

To create a platform, the most enabling step of a transformative promotion, it’s not enough to leave the circle open for people to fill in the blank; one needs to give people the whole circle to play within. The communication is people-centric, not product- or brand-centric. As in games, there needs to be something one plays to achieve, a mission, and the goal has to be transformative for those who take part. To make the platform transformative, it’s worth looking to the Arrow to make the benefit focused on the individual’s transformation, the WHO. A platform enables all the participants to create or take part on their own terms, generating a strong-willed army of individuals on a mission. An organisation’s role is to create a platform that truly enables individuals and ultimately unites them behind a shared transformative goal. Volunteering is a rewarding commitment. It is important because it helps one to become an enriched person.
