ABSTRACT

In twenty-first century America there are very few social areas not concerned about guns and violence. Violence has led to a time and place where no one feels or is completely free from fear of violence. Is the violence a consequence of too many guns too readily available for anyone who has an urge and intention to kill? Are the shooters alienated or mentality psychopathic? Is the cause a result of poor parenting and isolation of children who are either coddled, receiving everything they want but not the love they need. No place is safe. Not schools, churches, concerts, even homes are no longer safe from invasion robberies. Or has society overreacted to every instant of violence with practices and procedures limiting free movement? Everything is possible.
