ABSTRACT

Chapter 3 investigates the impact of green HRM on employee workplace outcomes. Chapter 3 explores the current body of knowledge surrounding green HRM, HRM and green management, and identifies the gaps in the literature, while developing and proposing a number of research questions pertinent to this book. More specifically, Chapter 3 evaluates existing conceptual models and literature pertaining to HRM and organizational green performance and assesses green HRM and employee green and non-green behavioral literature to determine what we presently know about how green HRM impacts firm performance and a range of employee workplace outcomes. Chapter 3 then seeks to identify what we do not know about green HRM, highlights gaps in the literature, and subsequently develops additional research questions that underpin this conceptual exploration.
