ABSTRACT
This market has a long history of using large screen projections and of being on the very edge of the most modern technology. A consensus is that the industry is relying on less general illumination because the projection screens have become bright enough to supplement the general audience and ambient lighting. In 1998 an LA company started using the huge PANI BP 12 projectors to create massive works. The projectors using 24” × 24” slides make it possible to cover the whole building fa�ade. Current market thinking has come to realize that a combination of projectors and LED tiles is the solution to most projects. A reasonable breakdown of the different types of productions appears to be 30% parties, 10% theatrical shows and celebrity appearances, 20% award presentations, and 40% meetings.
