ABSTRACT
Chapter 4 investigates the logical choices in the systems of TAXIS and LOGICO-SEMANTIC TYPE in the stage direction of Teahouse and its two English translations. We first briefly discuss the concepts used in the analysis, i.e. taxis and logico-semantic type, then we analyze and compare the logical choices in our data. Also, we study the translation shifts within the logical metafunction, i.e. tactic shift and logico-semantic type shift.
