ABSTRACT
This last chapter is relatively short and concludes the book by trying to depict possible pathways towards reducing or even eradicating poverty. This includes a presentation of a number of successful cases around the globe in reducing the number of people living in poverty. It draws also on historical reasons for poverty reduction as an indicator of what can be done. This is supplemented by a recapitulation of where there is the evidence and knowledge of which instruments are available for doing so.
