ABSTRACT
This chapter outlines the components of the social impact bond (SIB) FINSI, including its innovative practices around the outcomes-based payment contract. The chapter uses the FINSI framework to explore SIBs growth and scale, the dark side of the FINSI, the implications for social outcomes, and projections for future trajectories of the FINSI. It also profiles an example of microfinance: Goldman Sachs.
