ABSTRACT

The problems and solutions embodied in both the studies and the cases of resilience all happened in the past. In plain speak, organizations need the right tools for the job, and for this they need to understand the nature of the job. The initial failure to address the publicized union protests outside Tesco Fresh & Easy stores in the United States (US) led to more protests and stunts, many of which were publicized in the local communities. The willingness of key actors to sustain the culture within Enron's leadership team and accounting practices led ultimately to the demise of the organization, and also to the demise of its main accountant. The literature across the different levels also describes the complex nature of the effects that can be felt as a consequence of the disruption. The view is typically over land and water; it shows scenery, sometimes natural, sometimes man-made, often a mix of both.
