ABSTRACT
This chapter describes how rural electrification analysts might go beyond the broad strategic and policy considerations discussed in Chapter 9 and begin to apply some of the detailed methodologies, presented earlier, to specific issues like pricing policy and project evaluation in a developing country. Before addressing these topics, however, it is helpful to review some background information on the macroeconomy and energy sector in Malaysia.
