ABSTRACT
This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book explores various intersections between knowledge and politics. It offers interpretations of a variety of cultural phenomena. The book explores some of the cultural currencies of the concepts, accentuating how the meanings must be understood in their historical context. It shows how conflict within the history of rhetoric, and the cultural permutations of the conflicts within Western society, involves representation. The book suggests that scholarship itself is rife with issues of representation. The term “radical democracy” becomes operationalized in various ways, but one of its clearest expressions is by Michael Eric Dyson. The book looks at where the concepts impose limitations on thought and understanding and where they direct toward avenues in which we have the opportunity to experience moral growth.
