ABSTRACT
Female labor force has played a significant role in the process of economic development in Taiwan. In the following, we examine the utilization and changes in patterns of employment of the island’s female labor force from 1964 to 1980. The factors we try to look into are:
Percentage of female employment in total employment
Female labor force participation rate by age group and education
Female employment by industry and occupation group
Female higher education
