ABSTRACT
The fourth chapter, Couples in Conflict, focuses on the treatment of couples and, in doing so, discusses the notions of multiplicity, complexity, and alterity as applied to the psyche and the link. Four clinical cases serve as a point of departure to discuss how to approach couple therapy from a perspective that takes into account multiple interacting psychic realities, unconscious alliances, and the link as a space of difference rather than sameness.
