ABSTRACT
In recent years, the study of war has come to be approached with the benefit of a wide-angled lens. War is no longer seen mainly as men fighting one another on the battlefield. That ‘field’ has been greatly extended, as has the list and number of persons involved, sometimes indirectly in the struggle between two parties.
