ABSTRACT

This final chapter steps away from sharing the why, what, and how of the Disciplined Strategic Planning process to consider its potential impact over time. To do so, the chapter returns to Ashburn a couple of years into implementation and provides a quick snapshot of current operations. Specifically, the chapter focuses on the district’s and its schools’ structures and systems, as well as the types of opportunities and outcomes that have become newly available as a result of these efforts. This narrative is presented via the perspectives of those implicated in the plan: students and educators. Our major themes of Logic, Equity, Capacity, and Coherence are woven throughout.
