ABSTRACT

In addition to government think tanks, there has been a proliferation of non-government think tanks in India, owing to greater opportunities for foreign funding as well as India’s growing foreign policy footprint, bringing with it the need for greater and more diversified policy expertise. Non-government think tanks with a varied intellectual composition have also focused on academic research on the India-Pakistan Composite Dialogue. They have contributed both to the development and the promotion of policy discourse on Pakistan and issues of contention between India and Pakistan.
