ABSTRACT

The concluding chapter discusses the main findings of the book in light of three themes: first, the distinctiveness of urban secularism as a form of governing religious diversity; second, the dichotomies of inclusion and exclusion that are created and used in governance of religion; and third, the changing nature of secularism. Moreover, the chapter highlights the theoretical and methodological implications of these three arguments for studying the governance of religious diversity and ventures into possible developments of urban secularism.
