From Aspiration to Execution book
The difference between Artificial Intelligence (AI) leaders and laggards often comes down to the strength of an organization’s AI strategy that defines the goals and deliverables and provides an operational roadmap to achieve these goals. AI will influence the structure of how work is done. From the time initial AI pilots begin, smart organizations invest early in planning and education activities to increase the capacity of their people to adapt and change with the times. Most countries are revising existing laws and regulations that govern general protections for security and data privacy in the healthcare world to reflect the changing nature and use of this data. New initiatives are also popping up in various countries to address privacy, data sovereignty, and ethical issues specific to algorithms and other aspects of AI. Moving from aspiration to execution is where many organizations flounder in having their investment of time and money produce the payoffs that are promised with AI.
