Clinical and health leaders are faced with an unrelenting set of challenges–Ever-expanding medical capabilities. Forward-thinking health leaders are creating new organizations and reinventing old ones to improve consumer, patient, and clinician experiences. They are doing this across all touchpoints and delivery channels. To glimpse the future of healthcare one only needs to look to other industries further along in their Artificial Intelligence (AI) journey. Within the health industry, AI is a change agent being applied to a growing set of clinical, economic, and human challenges embodied in the Quadruple Aim–Improving the patient experience. A key market dynamic that traditional providers of health services must recognize is that the competitive landscape is changing. Ever-expanding AI capabilities and the rise of the intelligent consumer are bringing a new breed of entrants into the health market. In the emerging world of Intelligent Health Systems data is the new currency by which health organizations will rise and fall.
