ABSTRACT

We simply could not launch our new pedagogy book without including the voices of our prominent partners in crime, who have created performances, toured, experimented, played, cried, and laughed with us in and out of the performance zone. Their energies as radical artists are part of what sustains us, but rather than being selfish and keeping them to ourselves, we wanted to offer their unique voices and useful techniques to you here. The following pedagogical texts are authored by Annie Sprinkle, Beth Stephens, Reverend 201Billy, Savitri D., Dragonfly, Fotini Kalle, Claudia Algara, Sally Molina, L. M. Bogad, and Micha Espinosa among other dear collaborators. They offer everything from practical strategies to poetic inspiration and performance challenges to practitioners at all levels of engagement with live art in times of crisis.
