ABSTRACT
This chapter will show the reader how to embed the presenting concern or problem into a systemic framework. In the practice of IST, this systemic framework is known as the problem sequence. The clinical process needed to collaborate with the client system to uncover a problem sequence is elaborated and ample clinical examples are provided to illustrate this process and the challenges associated with identifying problem sequences.
