ABSTRACT

This Chapter illuminates the process through which constraints are identified and described. This process enables the therapist and client to agree that the constraint is present and interferes with implementing the solution sequence. The web of human experience including the biopsychosocial levels of the system and the seven hypothesizing metaframeworks is used to define where constraints can be located and what they might consist of. Examples of constraints from within each of the hypothesizing metaframeworks are provided.
