Introduction

This chapter introduces the book’s topic and provides a brief description of the forthcoming chapters. This introduction also provides a discussion of how I define the Alt-Right for this book. The book has one basic point, in that I seek to emphasize the complexity of the topic. However, I then focus on two points. The first is the place of Christianity in the Alt-Right and the complications that it has presented to the brand and its influencers. The second is how the Alt-Right has affected American Christians, especially concerning the ongoing debates concerning race, racial justice, homosexuality, and what proper Christian responses to the Alt-Right’s provocations should be.
