ABSTRACT

The daily scrum is probably the most commonly used agile technique. In fact, the author find that many people confuse scrum with agile itself. Scrum has certain rules, such as size, duration, and participation. The daily full studio scrum was the primary project cadence each day, driven by the scrum board at the center of the front wall. Interestingly enough, three of the key development teams – dot com, MyHedge, and integration – all used scrum methods themselves but on somewhat different schedules and approaches. Nevertheless, the team had been trained to create a backlog of user stories, allocate them to sprints, break them into tasks, and manage the tasks visually in the scrum meeting. There were also a couple of visitors, which had become normal as word of the ambitious new approach spread through Pacifica.
