ABSTRACT

In this final chapter, we explore how our work could be developed across older year groups. We consider how the principles and benefits of continuing to adopt specific elements of a play-based curriculum could work as children move further up the school and draw on the work being developed at one of the schools in the Swale Academies Trust. We discuss how creating a context for learning, linking activities to a core text, continuing to make use of outdoor learning and focussing on enabling environments, all continue to be relevant for children in Key Stage 2 and beyond.
