ABSTRACT

Having discussed creative arts and art processes, as well as developing an understanding of making in digital space as artistic space, the pedagogy of creative arts in the post-digital era was dealt with. This chapter goes deeper into making things and teaching the creative arts in the post-digital era by looking at how these ideas resound in relation to both pedagogical artistic research and teaching practice. The purpose of this chapter is to come to terms with the kinds of roles and identities that are expected of the contemporary art teacher, and, more importantly, what that means for teachers’ future competency development.
