ABSTRACT

Concluding this book on making things and teaching creative arts in the post-digital era, this chapter identifies the practical challenges that can follow as we move ahead in the post-digital era. Not as in purchasing equipment and prioritising digital education initiatives, but rather the higher-level challenges that follow national and international interests in the post-digital era. Reflecting on the downstream possibilities that can follow an informed emphasis on and interest in making in the post-digital era, this chapter looks to the role of the visual art teacher in innovation and the development of transformative technologies in the future.
