ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a conclusion for students new to sport development of the future challenges and transformations present within the delivery landscape. It offers an overview of the changes mapped in the book as a whole and the thematic trends that have seen increased modernisation, professionalisation, and instability within sport development in the UK. It signposts students to further questions and areas of exploration in the field that may be suited to their future study as their degree evolves. Specific topics that are covered include the increased presence of evidence-based policy, new models of delivery, and the need for a ‘calls to arms’ in an increasingly fragmented system.
