ABSTRACT

There is a great difficulty in making the step between the scientific deductive system and the low-level hypothesis that is susceptible of clinical verification. The gap between the actual clinical (experimental) data and the theory that is being tested and is to contribute to the formation of an interpretation, seems to me to be very big; it is not only the ‘size’ of the gap, but the actual dimension in which it exists, which is so difficult to determine. Once the two have been brought together, it becomes simpler.
