ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the conclusions of the present project. The chapter commences by reiterating the key findings in terms of the stated research aims. Thus, the results are initially reviewed in the context of the development of a collaborative and dialogic framework for the professional development of a mathematics teacher in a second-level multilingual classroom. Thereafter, the impact of the pedagogic interventions on classroom discourse and interaction is reprised and the impact of this collaborative action research project on the professional development of the participating teacher evaluated. To this end, the chapter presents the teacher’s perception and experience of working with video recordings of own teaching. The chapter closes by proposing a number of future research avenues, along with summative remarks on the contribution of the present study to the advancement of corpus linguistics knowledge and classroom-based practitioner research.
