ABSTRACT

This chapter examines ‘problematic creativity’, and addresses the specific question, ‘How, and why, can creative workplace discourse be problematic?’ It discusses three topics not consistently associated with creativity: stereotypes, conflict and humour, and examines their relationship. The predominant focus is on discursive creativity. Whereas Chapters 3 and 4 draw on corpus methods, the analysis in this chapter is wholly qualitative, given the highly contextual nature of problematic creativity.
