Most people work in some sort of capacity that could result in salary discrepancies, contract disagreements, cancelations, and other business operations. At some point during reader's career, there will have a client or company that delays, forgets, or refuses to pay for completed work. In some cases, reader can leverage reader yet-to-be provided work against their non-agreement to terms. If the reader is working on a tour or recurring production then he may need to alter the language of their contract accordingly to protect himself regarding the period of time for lost work. Events, shows, tours, or any gig can cancel suddenly for multiple reasons. It is always essential to have a clause in contract regarding the situations. When working for a union or as an employee for a company, be sure to follow the guidelines of employer. They may require specific actions when a production cancels and need to adhere to their standards.
