ABSTRACT
Working in the entertainment industry allows many interactions with celebrities of all types. Celebrities come in all types, and working with them presents some unique situations and challenges for those of us working alongside them. When working within the entertainment lighting industry, people will undoubtedly work near and alongside several celebrities. Quite often the celebrity is a very creative individual who has some interesting ideas to share. Some artists will be very friendly with the staff and may offer to sign items. Be sure to allow this to happen naturally and openly. Whether a big-name LD or a world-renowned pop star, every person should be treated merely as another professional co-worker. Sometimes they will become friends, and sometimes they will be a thorn in our side. Either way, famous people are commonly an important part of our lives when people work in the entertainment industry.
