ABSTRACT

Vickie Claiborne's first lighting design class at the University of Central Florida instantly captured her attention and started her dream of a career in entertainment lighting. She graduated UCF over 30 years ago with a Bachelor of Arts degree in technical theater and a vision of being a touring lighting programmer. Throughout her career Claiborne also continued to program and design productions around the world. She also has shared her knowledge and experience beyond training sessions by writing a column for PLSN magazine and publishing a book titled Media Servers for Lighting Programmers. Early in 2019, she made yet another career move, by leaving PRG and joining Disguise, where she is employed as their training manager for North America. She does not regret any moments throughout her career and is grateful for all the opportunities. However, that retirement phase is not even in her current sight as she continues along her career path.
