ABSTRACT
one’s personal attitude and interaction with other humans are extremely important. To put it simply: if people like working with someone, then they will work with more people. Never behave as a know it all, smart-ass, jerk, or entitled person. The vast majority of successful lighting people are also the nicest. They have learned how to work well with others, keep their discomfort and stress to themselves, and navigate production politics. Kindness and gratitude are main elements of a good attitude. If one can be kind to others and grateful for the opportunities presented to them, then they will lead a successful career in the entertainment lighting field. All are very fortunate to get paid to work with lighting in the entertainment business. Even with the various stressors, try to bring one selves back to a state of gratitude for the opportunities to work in this amazing field.
