ABSTRACT
The chapter highlights the second and third phases of the field study. In these phases, perceptions of the farmers in Telangana and Maharashtra were collected. A large area is under cotton cultivation in both Telangana and Maharashtra. The conditions of cotton-growing farmers have been diminished and their rates of suicides have increased accordingly. The chapter shows the responses of farmers in this regard and further analyses over the changes that have occurred in their lives with the adoption of Bt cotton seeds for cultivation.
