ABSTRACT

As illustrated in the first two chapters, most consumers obtain their “science” information from unreliable sources, which partly explains the wide disparity with what good scientific practices reveal regarding GMO’s. This is very understandable. When you are routinely exposed to a negative narrative about anything, you tend to embrace that narrative as fact. In reality however, it is just an agenda-driven, one-sided storyline overloaded with emotionally charged personal views and pseudoscience. Unfortunately, the negative narrative which surrounds GMO food production has become a food marketing bonanza for many. What are the facts?
