ABSTRACT

Measuring the effectiveness of the five NAKED Model components is just as important as knowing how to use them. The pressing need to anchor Naked Management outcomes to performance standards requires managers and X’ers to review the Naked Contract they mutually created and upon which they agreed. Generally, the costs associated with replacing just one member of the X- Generation can range from several thousand dollars to more than $10,000, depending on the industry and position level of the X’er. The overwhelming implication is that managers who believe the X- workforce is an easily discardable resource pay an expensive price. Managers and X’ers must together create an organizational climate which is more conducive to welcoming and accepting Naked Management as a lasting institution.
